About Rockland Farm Alliance

Rockland Farm Alliance (RFA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and reviving small farms in Rockland County, NY. The mission of RFA is to facilitate local sustainable agriculture by creating farms that serve as models of small-scale food production with educational facilities dedicated to the development and teaching of sustainable farming practices to people of all ages. A broad-based coalition of farmers, community groups and activists, local and county officials and interested citizens, Rockland Farm Alliance (RFA) was formed in early 2007. This grassroots effort started with the passionate vision of a single farmer, and has grown into a powerful community force of over 800. With nearly every facet of their community represented, RFA draws on the expertise of individual members to further their goals of preserving open space and bringing small sustainable farms back to Rockland. They offer events and educational programs, and are connected to Cropsey Farm, which offers a seasonal CSA.
