About Gotham Greens Gowanus Rooftop Farm
Gotham Greens' second greenhouse facility was built in 2013 in Gowanus, Brooklyn, on the roof of Whole Foods Market's first ever Brooklyn store. The rooftop greenhouse measures over 20,000 ft2 and grows over 200 tons of fresh leafy greens and tomatoes each year. Recirculating irrigation systems that capture water for re-use and all products are free of any harmful chemicals pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides.
