About Boyden Farm

A small, sustainable farm and, to say the least, quite a bit more, Boyden Farm features an on-site market, an ice cream shop, a winery, and a host of fun and educational activities.

A fifth generation family farm, Boyden Farm produces all-natural beef and pork which is available for purchase at the on-farm store, The Milk House Market. The beef and pork are entirely free of antibiotics and added hormones and the animals are raised on a diet of grasses and all-natural grainsâ”all the grains are grown on the farm, so customers need not worry about animal by-products or other additives. The animals are pasture-raised until about 90 days before processing, at which point they're taken inside and placed on a grain ration.

The Milk House Market offers Boyden Farm's all-natural meats in a range of cuts, plus a handful of other sustainably-raised local products, including pheasant, farm fresh eggs, chicken, turkey, lamb, and a great selection of unique Vermont cheeses. Aside from fresh food, the market also carries a collection of lovely gifts and fine products for the home.

The Milk House Market is open from spring to fall, Tuesday through Sunday. Hours are 10am to 5pm, Tuesday-Saturday, and noon to 5pm, Sunday. The market is closed Mondays. The market's hours are shortened in the winter. Contact the farm for specifics.

The space is also home to the Boyden Valley Winery and the Scoop Shop, Boyden Farm's ice cream shop. For a perfect complement to your meat and cheese purchases, just take a short walk down to the winery and choose from a selection of red and white wines, fruit wines (blueberry, cranberry, rhubarb, etc.), apple wine, and Boyden Valley's signature dessert wines. Or, if you just want an ice cream cone, drop by the Scoop Shop which is open until 8pm, Tuesday-Sunday.

Not only are there food, wine, and ice cream cones, but there's music too! Boyden Farm features a concert series on Friday evenings throughout the summer. The concerts, which run from 6:30 to 9:30 and include everything from jazz to classic rock to blue grass, are held in a timber frame pavilion and cost $5/vehicle. The concerts usually carry a theme, such as Children's Festival, Annual Harvest Festival, and Down on the Farm Country Night. Visit the Boyden Farm website for more details about concert dates and artist information. Concertgoers enjoy access to the on-site Winery, Scoop Shop, Milk House Market, and caterer.

If you can't make it for the concert series, at least visit the farm for the corn maze and petting zoo.
