hazelnut kitchen was established in April 2007 by Jonah and Christina McKeough. In 2012, they decided to spend more time with their families and Lisa and Justin began the adventure in continuing the hazelnut legacy. The Village of Trumansburg, with its proximity to Ithaca, the Finger Lakes Wine Trail and abundant farm communities, felt like the ideal location to highlight their culinary skills and create a casually elegant dining experience. From their experiences they have extracted the fundamentals from which hazelnut kitchen is based: the ingredients are of the utmost importance and friendly, informed service is crucial. They couldn’t have created this farm to table destination restaurant in the finger lakes without a sustaining community and local enthusiasm.
