Harlem Grown
About Harlem Grown
The mission at Harlem Grown is to inspire youth to live healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability and nutrition. Harlem Grown has partnered with New York city public schools to launch their agricultural program at several community-oriented spaces, using organic practices, to teach kids about sustainably grown and nutritious foods that they would have otherwise not known about, so they can make healthier choices about the foods they eat and where they get them from. Harlem Grown provides access to fresh and local food, supports family farms, grows and maintains vibrant green spaces and community gardens, all while creating the next generation of environmental leaders.
