About Micro Farms

Micro Farms is an urban farming social enterprise operating in Denver, Arvada, Lakewood, Golden and Wheat Ridge. They convert people's lawns into biodynamic, chemical-free gardens. Each homeowner, their "Yard Partners," donates the land (under a 5 year contract) and water. Micro Farms then installs, maintains, weeds, and harvests the produce. In return for their donation, Yard Partners receive a CSA Share aggregated from all the produce grown within the Micro Farms network. Micro Farms then sells the rest of the healthy food through their CSA Program, Farmer's Markets, and local companies. They welcome visitors to their Arvada HQ to check out their sustainable operations.

Their operations are guided by chemical free, bio-intensive, permaculture practices. As part of this, they require homeowner’s permission to create compost on-site, utilizing the property’s grass clippings, leaves, etc. They are dedicated to sustainably strengthening their community through healthy food accessibility, outreach, and education.
